The Pros and Cons of using Nitrofurantoin for UTI Treatment

Urinary tract infections (UTI) may be treated with the antibiotic drug nitrofurantoin. Because of its enormous crystal structure, or macrocrystal, which limits its absorption via the gastrointestinal system and allows nitrofurantoin to concentrate in urine, it is effective in treating infections in urine brought on by bacteria that are sensitive to it.
